As one who loves Long Island I like to read and collect books about Long Island and/or written by Long Island authors.
I especially enjoy attending book signings so I can meet the authors and have my books personalized.
On this page you find brief reviews of the Long Island related books & movies. The list is not all inclusive as time is somewhat limited, but I'll try to bring you the best (in my humble opinion of course) of what I've read.

Jones Beach: An
American Riviera
A beautiful documentary by George P. Pozderec
In 30 way too short minutes narrator Eli Wallach takes us from conception to completion of one of America's greatest landmarks. Vintage images, music, film footage and in depth interviews make this film watchable over and over again.
I highly recommend it.

The
Vineyard
by Louisa Thomas Hargrave
The Vineyard is the amazing story of Long Island's first vineyard. Two young kids just out of college dreamed the impossible and then achieved it. Like true pioneers they faced adventure, adversity and suffered “arrows in the back.” I read it twice...
