Back in the 70's I lived in the "City" not Manhattan and worked next to Penn Station. Every other weekend I took the Ferry from Bay Shore over to Fire Island. I choose Kismet because they had tennis courts. I was at the tennis courts from 7:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. (yes I know there was an ocean and a bay). I loved going to the Bay with a huge garbage bag and go claiming with my feet and toes and get claims that we could steam. I loved that the claims were free!

Ever since I can remember, every summer my parents and I would take a trip down to Kismet. My aunt and uncle live in Kismet and we always stop at their house.
When I was seven years old, I went water skiing for the first time off their boat. It was so much fun. I will always remember that summer.
Now that I am older my parents let me spend a week at my uncle's house without them there.
Every time I go there, I find something new to do. Recently I discovered that on the bay side, the blue claw crabs are very mean.
This summer I went fishing off of the pier and I caught three blue fish.
I can not wait until next summer!
