I too, have moved to Rhode Island. I miss Long Island every day of my life. I read Newsday online just so I can feel in touch. I go back often, my family still lives there. I am a New Yorker through and through, always will be and very proud of it. Some day I will move back,no, I HAVE to move back, just have to find a reasonable priced place to live!! Sound Beach? Miller Place??? Who knows, but I will be home some day.

I Long to go HOME by: kathyP
I left L.I. in 1982 when my family moved to Maine, and have lived here every since. I didn't want to leave at the time, and I have missed it everyday since then. Like some of you, I have a job here and family responsibilities for now. But eventually I will go HOME. I know it is not like it used to be anymore, but it is still HOME to me. I guess I will never really feel like a Mainer.

I moved to Rhode Island years ago and miss Long Island so much!! I lived in Uniondale, Hempstead, and Westbury. Grew up in Uniondale near Hofstra Univ and I truly want to go back some day. Family responsibilites keep me here for now though.

I Feel Your Pain by: Bill Drago
It's tough to move away. Most people I know that move off Long Island really miss it. As good as the new location is sometimes there's just no place like home.
